Garden Design Service
Detailed plans can be provided for your whole garden or for specific areas. Created on CAD software, drawn to scale, with all the information you need for a successful implementation. These can include planting plans or simple recommendations on planting style, whichever you require. My fee for providing a bespoke design starts from £1,000 (no VAT payable).
Initial Consultation - free of charge
Ideally I like to meet clients on site as this enables me to understand its characteristics and the opportunities and challenges it presents. At this first meeting we will discuss your requirements and how I may be able to help. We also start to discuss how you want to use your garden, your likes and dislikes, what you need to have and what you would like, preferred styles and budget.
Design Brief
Following the visit I will send you a draft design brief and a quote for producing your garden design. The draft brief will summarise our discussions and detail what you want to achieve from your garden, what features it needs to include or what problems it is seeking to solve.
Site Survey and Appraisal
Once we have agreed the brief, I will need to arrange a full site survey and appraisal. This will ensure that I have all the detailed information and measurements needed to provide a successful design. For some gardens, I will suggest using a professional surveyor. I will arrange this for you and the cost is typically £350-400 (including VAT).

This will include sharing moodboards and further discussions to ensure that I understand your personal likes and dislikes and the design will meet your brief. Once I have developed my concept design, I will present a simple CAD plan with accompanying images to help you visualise your new garden, suggested materials and planting style.

Once you are happy with the design concept, the final design will be drawn to scale and fully detailed to indicate hard-landscaping, planting areas and trees, features and any structures. The technical masterplan will contain all the information you and your landscaper or builder needs to successfully implement the design. Plans are provided as pdf files and paper copies.
